A Gentle Reminder from the Curators to Jeanine Pirro

The curators in the Boxed Wine Department would like to note:

We do not condone excess.

We do not accuse excess.

We merely observe velocity.

We are not traffic enforcement.

We are not sidewalk inspectors.

We are not theologians of torque or scholars of protruding wooden blocks beneath municipal steel plates.

We simply catalog.

Sometimes it is 119 miles per hour on Route 17.

Sometimes it is a quarter-million-dollar complaint over a fall on Boston Post Road.

Both are human.

Both involve motion.

Both involve the law.

The Cellar holds no malice.

Only irony.

We do not speculate about temperament.

We do not psychoanalyze the passing lane.

We do not suggest that urgency, indignation, and litigious precision might spring from the same emotional carburetor.

We sip.

We decant.

We allow the notes to breathe.

If one believes in the rule of law, one may encounter it at high speed.

If one believes in negligence, one may assert it at low altitude.

Our role is not to judge.

It is to pour.
